The Chisholm Trail Resource Conservation and Development, Inc. is a grass roots organization encompassing an eleven county area.

Organized in 1992, the Board of Directors is comprised of delegates from the dues-paying sponsorship within the eleven counties.

In February of 1993, Chisholm Trail RC&D received our 501 (c) 3 designation from the IRS, which made us eligible to apply to private foundations for funding of rural projects. At the request of our sponsorship and approval of the Board of Directors, we promote rural development activities through coordination efforts, technical support, networking, foundation searches, proposal writing and grant administration.

In 1998, Chisholm Trail RC&D was authorized by the USDA and a full time employee was assigned to assist the non-profit board in carrying out the Chisholm Trail mission.
